We had a wonderful stay. Location was amazing, hosts were very responsive, everything was clean and well kept. Traffic along A1A was louder than expected. Loved having dinner on the back porch overlooking the marsh and being walking distance from the beach.

Perfect location across the street from the beach ( and as photos show, one can see the beach from the second floor). Side note if you are worried about noise - the windows did a great job of soundproofing/traffic noise not an issue. Great beach supplies - umbrellas, chairs, towels, and a cart to haul it over in. We had a few mechanical issues (nothing surprising for a house so close to the ocean) that Randy and Karina took care of asap. Stayed here for a girls trip with 6 total - very open spaces and 4 bathrooms a huge plus. Grocery and restaurants less than a few miles away (we rented a car - uber would work as well...no sidewalks if you are thinking of walking to say, Publix). Would return!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The morning views were terrific! Just a quick walk across the street and you're at the beach for beautiful sunrises! Our family picked up some beautiful shells, completely intact (which in my opinion is rare!). Grocery story is so convenient being just a few minutes away! And so easy to get to the downtown area. Would stay here again for sure! Very nice and accommodating management!

The house was lovely. So close to the beach which made it easy for walks on the beach. Very spacious, clean, decorated well, with all the extras provided. We didn't have to bring towels, sheets, a laundry room was nice with cleaning products provided. The hosts gave prompt feedback for our needs. We enjoyed the property and our stay very much. The only negative was we were unaware until a week before our stay that there were no interior stairs. It was a bit of an inconvenience, but ultimately fine for us. It might not be fine for others. The galley kitchen didn't have any cutlery so we brought from upstairs. Thank for having such a lovely home to gather with our family.

The house was very nice and had everything we needed. It had a nice view of the beach and it was a easy walk over to the beach if you wanted. It is very close to shopping and Historic Downtown. The one bad thing is that it is on a busy road and had to be careful pulling out of the driveway. We were a little surprised when we first arrived and discovered the two lower bedrooms and bathrooms were nice but there is no access to the upper level inside the house you had to use the outside front or back stairs to get to the living area. There is a sink and small Refrigerator so you can keep drinks in there if you wanted. It wasn't a big deal just a little surprised. If we had a need to be in the area again would be happy to rent again if available. The check-in process was very easy and when we had a question we received an answer promptly.

This location was fabulous. It is a beautiful home inside and out. all the other reviews will tell you the positives. CONS; The living space is up 23 stairs. It was not the easiest taking everything up the stairs to begin with. Upstairs there are a few step-ups to be aware of, one into the kitchen and one into the primary bedroom. We laid tape down to indicate it was a step down only after tripping first. two bedrooms are downstairs. Weird configuration. two bedrooms with a door between them. They also did not have cable just Wi-Fi downstairs The management company came out and fixed one but not the other. One of the bedrooms downstairs had a mattress with a huge sink hole. They fixed it. The pocket door upstairs was dirty on 1 side. the stairs on the outside are the only way to get into the property upstairs. the dining room table was sticky and dirty, especially under the runner. For the most part all our beds were comfortable once the dented one was fixed.

The Oyster House did not disappoint. It was so convenient to the beach which was great for our little ones. The accommodations were perfect for our family of nine (5 adults and 4 kiddos). We absolutely loved the huge kitchen! We will definitely book again in the future.

This house was lovely and accommodated our group of 8 beautifully. The kitchen is very well stocked and there are plenty of bath towels and beach towels. They also provided beach chairs and umbrellas and wagon to transport them. The views are spectacular!

What a beautiful home. We cooked most nights and 6 of us fit right in the kitchen no problem. We sat mostly on the deck in the front and watched the waves on the beach. The sunrises were amazing! We went to the back deck and get to see a space launch! Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful home. Steps from the beach. Great sunrises and perfect place to watch the rocket launches! We cooked most nights and 6 of us fit in the kitchen to prep our part of the meals. We took a Uber to town it was so cheap. Under $20. Perfect place to stay. Gave it a 4 because there were so many steps to the main house. ( we all are older ) However you young ones wouldn’t have a problem!

What a great stay for the whole family. the house was perfect for our needs. Privacy for the adult children downstairs, and privacy for the parents upstairs. Everyone commented on the size of the kitchen. It is amazingly big for a rental. It had everything we needed. We loved the large windows that looked out at the ocean. With the house being so close to every place we wanted to go-Jacksonville, Amelia Island and, of course, St. Augustine. Can't beat a place that is only 2 miles away from Publix, either. The decor was lovely and made it feel cozy. We appreciated the extras you left for us-a closet filled with beach gear, plenty of towels and other supplies in the bathrooms, a huge laundry room and the great amount of kitchen supplies. Having a clean home was also a big plus. Thank you to Karina for answering all my questions so quickly. This will be a trip we won't soon forget!

The Oyster House in Vilano Beach was great for our quick adventure in St. Augustine. I'm always looking for a host who allows us to bring our furry friends on vacation, so if you have dogs and want a great location, you should consider booking the Oyster House. Steps away from the beach, and only a short drive from downtown St. Augustine, it was a great fit for us. Not to mention the unique location provides visitors views of the sunrise over the ocean and the sunset over the marshes. Very cool! We occupied the upstairs portion only, but if you are traveling with two families or more than 4 people, there's an entire downstairs with two additional bedrooms & a small kitchenette. Three of the bedrooms open up onto a deck or patio, again, perfect for those traveling with pets. We also appreciated that the backyard was completely fenced in for the dogs. Guests should be aware that the house is right next to A1A which can get pretty busy. The speed limit in that area is 45 MPH. The noise wasn't an issue, but crossing the road to access the beach was a bit tricky; since there's no crosswalk there, you'll have to wait for a clear shot to cross the road. During busy times of the year, this could take a while. Also, if you're traveling with elderly folks, be aware that both staircases are located outside; there are no staircases inside the property. For us, that wasn't an issue, but if you're planning to use the entire residence for your stay, it's something to be aware of. Other than that, it was great! Thanks for the stay!

The home was immaculate. One of the cleanest vacation homes we have been in. The owners had plenty of the “little things” needed day to day (dish soap, laundry detergent, etc). Well equipped kitchen. This is a lovely house, well decorated, and comfortable. It's a fun place for an extended stay as the beach access is really easy and the living room is truly a space in which to live! The kitchen is incredibly well stocked and the owners were nicely communicative. The beach room has all sorts of beach goodies. We only used the chairs but the room is stocked and ready for lots of beachy fun. My only wish is they had fairy lights on the two elevations (steps) going into the master bedroom and the kitchen. We tripped up and down these several times.

Oyster House is a great property! Karina was so accommodating---even buying a pack and play for us when I asked if there was a crib at the property. It was clean and comfortable. Watching the sunrise over the ocean from the comfort of the family room was spectacular. It's a quick drive to downtown St. Augustine but far enough to avoid the spring break crowds. We are from Gainesville, Florida and met my sisters and their husbands from Virginia and Massachusetts for our first family reunion since Covid. This house was perfect for 3 couples. We each had first rate bedrooms with connecting bathrooms, and glorious views. The living room had generous seating for our gatherings. Our dogs had a convenient and safe enclosed yard. While the front of the house overlooked the beach, the rear deck had a mellow view of the marsh and sunset. Besides the beach, there was a quiet neighborhood behind us for walks. St. Augustine is a unique city, the oldest continued settlement in America. It's enchanting for exploring, dining, museums and entertainment. Besides Villano beach outside our doorstep, Crescent Beach just South of St. Augustine is my favorite beach in the US. For us, the house, the surroundings, and culture, and the hosts were perfect. Randy and Karina were always in touch. You can't go wrong with this house.

Oyster House has a wonderful unobstructed view of the ocean right from the main living room’s wall of windows. The house is only minutes away from grocery, dining, and area attractions. The beach is right across the street - no trouble to go back and forth between the house and the beach. The spacious kitchen is well stocked with all kinds of appliances, cookware and serving pieces. Baths are supplied with plenty of toilet paper, towels, shampoo, body wash and hairdryers. You can tell that the owners put a lot of thought in what travelers would need. There’s a beach closet with access to beach chairs, canopies and other beach items. The laundry room is spacious and provides beach towels for use and extra bath towels. Each of the 4 bedrooms had direct access to its own bathroom. The master bedroom layout is really nice and offers extra room for a portable crib. Easy entry into the house by using a keypad. Owners were very attentive and available to answer any questions and offer assistance. I was very happy with choosing Oyster House and would definitely stay there again.

We had ample room, excellent beds and baths, location (beach across the road, play park less than 1/2 block north, Publix about 1 mile south, close to St Augustine for fun times out). House was in excellent condition. Even though Hurricane Ian was less than a month before our stay all was clean and property managers were there shoveling sand off the driveway. Great local restaurants within 3 miles of property. Excellent communication with property manager. We were there for Thanksgiving and found everything we could need for our family.

The Oyster House is a spacious house with ALL of the comforts of home. The mattresses are top of the line and very comfortable. Bedding and linens are new, and the decor is very nice. The kitchen equipment is great, everything you need is there. We found the house to be very clean and well maintained. The road is busy with traffic but we were not too bothered by it. I would highly recommend a stay here. Great for a weekend reunion with friends by the beach!

Great place to make memories with family. Two rooms downstairs are separate from the house upstairs, which is a perfect setup for older kids. Beach Access is just a short drive away in either direction. There is an entrance to walk directly across the street, but it can be challenging if you have little ones. Great hosts. Wonderful house!

Our family out in California met relatives from Florida for a reunion weekend at this perfectly located beach house right across the street from a quiet beach. The four bedroom spacious home had everything we needed and waking up to ocean views made our stay extra special. Randy and Karina are excellent hosts and made sure our stay was first class. We have some great photos of us relaxing inside the beautiful and modern Oyster House to look back upon and remember the memories we made the Summer of ‘22 in St. Augustine!

Beautiful home directly across from the beach. Very clean and comfortable. Huge kitchen open to large dining and den area providing plenty of space for us all to gather comfortably. Back deck overlooks an expansive marsh area that provided beautiful sunsets. With the breeze off the ocean we were actually able to eat most of our dinners outside at the large table on the deck. All of the bedrooms had their own bathroom which was very nice. The downstairs area is separate from the upstairs and has a small kitchenette. This worked perfectly for the kids and their babies, providing privacy and convenience. Having a fenced yard was perfect as we had our dogs with us. Additionally, the owners provided so many basic supplies (TP, paper towels, laundry soap, etc) that it limited what we had to pack/buy. The owners were very responsive and just great to work with. Even provided coffee, a nice bottle of red wine, some dark chocolate and some treats from Trader Joe’s. We highly recommend this place if you are ready for a great beach vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at the Oyster House. The views from inside were spectacular. The front road could be a little noisy at times but was expected as we were right next to the beach and the main strip. The view of the bay outback was just as inviting as we all enjoyed having coffee and drinks on the back deck while looking over the Bay.

Vilano Beach is a perfect getaway to enjoy beach and the history of St Augustine just across the bridge. This home was in great shape, lovely views of the sunrise each morning, and while A1A is busy to cross, the access is super convenient. We also enjoyed the back yard which was fenced and well landscaped.

This is a great location to have a great beach vacation with a quick drive to St Augustine for history and great restaurants. The house is large, has nice furnishings, and best of all - amazing views! We were careful when crossing A1A for the beach, but the beach access is so close and makes beach days easy! And the beach wasn’t crowded at all, it felt like a private beach!

This is an amazing house accommodating our big family of 7. Spacious living area and kitchen. Everything needed is easily accessible. The owner made it a designer beach house and experience. Lots of cabinets to organize and outdoor dining space. There’s also a closet next to laundry with tents, beach toys, chairs, surfing boards etc. my boys really enjoyed those amenities. Overall, fabulous experience and we can tell Randy and Karina are doing their best to give their guests the most memorizable and unique tome in the house

Randy/Karina and their teams are fantastic. The home is beautiful and PERFECT for anyone who has a larger family but also who want to have their own private spaces occasionally- the downstairs bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchenette are literally their own space and perfect for some extra privacy if needed. The beach is beautiful the views are spectacular. As a family of 4 couples, this Holiday getaway could not have been a better fit for us. We will be back.

What a wonderful treat. House is located directly across the street from the ocean with a direct path in front of the house. Views are fantastic from the main living room. The home is very nicely appointed with everything you may need during your stay. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking and serving items and had everything that we needed. Each bedroom has its own bath making it very comfortable for adults in our group. The 2 downstairs bedrooms are accessed from an outside entryway which made it a little awkward but private. The home is very clean and nothing was worn or tired looking. I did not feel like we were staying in a "rental" due to all of the nice amenities.
